Biographical Sketch

Jill Thomas...

  • holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.N.) and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from the University of Toronto;
  • has over twenty years experience in health care at staff, middle management and senior levels;
  • guided Peel Memorial Hospital (Brampton, Ontario), for over ten years, through the development and enhancement of its Quality Management program;
  • received the: Outstanding Contribution to the Promotion of Quality Management in Health Care Award from the Canadian Association of Quality in Health Care;
  • has conducted workshops and seminars for health care agencies, professional associations and educational institutions nationally and internationally;
  • developed the Leading For Excellence© model which several Canadian organizations use to build their strategic business plans;
  • authored the one of a kind training program entitled: Making Continuous Improvement a Way of Life© currently in use in health care organizations across Canada;
  • has working knowledge of the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA) standards... author of the CCHSA manual: Quality Improvement and the Client Centred Accreditation Program; and
  • is a certified External Assessor with the National Quality Institute.

Jill Thomas is not your ordinary consultant who delivers a program or service and then departs. Jill stays with her clients for a minimum of one year to advise and ensure success! She understands what effective organizations require today!
